Description
Dhanapati Sharma began his career in school education, serving for over a decade across six different schools in Bhutan, where he taught at various levels from Early Childhood Care and Development to middle secondary education. During this period, he undertook multiple leadership and administrative roles, including Head (School Head), Head of Department, and Staff Secretary, while also contributing to student welfare as Warden, Mess In-charge, and School Health Coordinator.
In the year 2018, he joined the Royal University of Bhutan as a faculty member at Gedu College of Business Studies, where he teaches Academic Skills, Analytical Skills, Research Methodology, and Business Communication. Over the years, Mr Sharma has played an active role in academic and institutional development, serving as a module coordinator and contributing to key committees such as the College Research Committee, Moderation Committee, and Entrepreneurship Development Centre. He is also actively involved in academic publishing as a member of the BJBM Editorial Board and serves as Editor of college publications.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr Sharma has facilitated numerous workshops and professional development programmes, including training on research methods, academic writing, and entrepreneurship. He has also supervised undergraduate research projects and contributed to capacity-building initiatives for both students and teachers.
An active researcher, Sharma has published extensively in national and international journals, with research interests spanning education, entrepreneurship, communication, financial literacy, and Bhutan’s socio-economic development. His work reflects a strong commitment to integrating academic research with practical relevance in the Bhutanese context.
