    Deki is the Head of the School of Accounting, Finance, and Economics at Gedu College of Business Studies (GCBS), Royal University of Bhutan. With over 14 years of experience in higher education, she has demonstrated excellence in teaching, academic leadership, curriculum development, and student mentorship.

    Beginning her academic career at GCBS in 2011 as a Lecturer in Accounting and Entrepreneurship, Deki has taught across diverse modules including Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and Entrepreneurship. She later served as Programme Leader for the Bachelor of Commerce programme, where she successfully led curriculum reviews, quality assurance processes, and staff development initiatives.

    As Head of School, Deki has led the development of two new degree programmes—Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Finance and Economics—overseeing the entire process from concept to implementation. She has also contributed to international collaborations, including teaching under faculty mobility at FH JOANNEUM, Austria, and ERASMUS+ ENCORE project.

    Her academic qualifications include a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Canberra, Australia, a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from Samtse College of Education, and a University Teaching Practice certification from Vrije University, Amsterdam.

    In recognition of her dedication and service, she received the 10 Years of Dedicated Service Award from His Majesty the Fifth King of Bhutan in 2021.
