    Kinley Wangchuk began his career in banking before joining the Ministry of Education, where he developed curricula and reading materials for the Bhutan Higher Secondary Education Board (BHSE) and served as Chief Assessor while teaching business studies. He later joined the Royal University of Bhutan as one of the Bhutanese faculty members of Gedu College of Business Studies, teaching financial accounting, auditing, and corporate governance. Over the years, he has led several academic programmes, including the B.Com and MBA, and contributed extensively to curriculum design and programme review at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Mr Wangchuk has also served as an external examiner for the Royal Thimphu College and Jigme Namgyel Engineering College and gained professional auditing experience with BDO International. In addition, he has been a member of the Accounting and Auditing Standards Board of Bhutan (AASBB) for a decade and served on its Technical Working Committee until he left for Australia in 2022 to pursue his PhD. He also assisted the Royal Education Council in developing IFRS-based BHSE curriculum and textbooks and conducted national training for teachers on teaching the IFRS-based curriculum. Mr Wangchuk further supported the Royal Civil Service Commission as a subject specialist for the recruitment of expatriate professionals from India.
    Wangchuk holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Sydney, an Advanced Diploma in Research Methods and Skills from Maastricht School of Management, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the National Institute of Education, Bhutan. He also earned a Certificate in Higher Educational Leadership from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He recently submitted his doctoral thesis at the University of Tasmania on Well-being and Happiness Accounting, winning Best Paper by an Early Scholar at the 2024 A-CSEAR Conference, University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He is an associate member of CPA Australia and aims to become a full member in the future.
